What is Pacific Urgent Care and Wellness Center?
PUCWC is an urgent care facility that also provides a full range of wellness services and primary care. PUCWC is staffed by specialists in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. We accept patients by walk-in and appointment 7 days a week.
What is the wait time to see a doctor at Pacific Urgent Care and Wellness Center?
There is typically very little wait; the average time to meet with the doctor is 20 minutes.
Does Pacific Urgent Care and Wellness Center have specialists on board?
Yes! PUCWC has on-site specialists in emergency medicine, family medicine and sports medicine/orthopedic care. We have an on-site x-ray, laboratory services and access to MRI, CT, as well as various other imaging studies.
The staff also coordinates referrals to specialists in physical therapy, pain management, orthopedic sports medicine, spine surgery, hand surgery and total joint replacement therapy as needed.

Absolutely! PUCWC takes Tricare, Medicare, and all major insurance carriers. Please call the front desk to confirm your insurance plan. We strive to provide the most affordable options for anyone with an injury or illness.
Does Pacific Urgent Care and Wellness Center have a self-pay option?
Yes! PUCWC offers the least expensive self-pay cash pricing of any urgent care in the Pacific Beach and surrounding area. We understand that it’s common for many in the Pacific Beach community go through periods with no medical insurance. We will work with you to be part of your health care solution.
Can Pacific Urgent Care and Wellness Center be my primary care doctor?
Yes, PUCWC is currently accepting families and individuals into our Family Medicine Practice. Patients in Family Medicine can make appointments for preventive care, physical exams, routine blood work, diabetic care, and schedule sick visits.
The added benefit for our Family Medicine patients is that patients may also walk in for urgent care issues. We happily accept Medicare patients from the PB area.
